European Union countries are gradually integrating digital technologies. Naturally, the level of digitization of individual member states varies, but overall it’s increasing. Speaking of digitization, one should mention cloud technology that enables data collection and processing without the need to install any software.
Damian Przybył, director of the Digital Advisory department at Cloudity, will talk about the potential of cloud technologies and the process of implementing digital solutions in companies.
What effects of implementations can companies expect?
We know that the potential of digitization is huge. The consulting company Capgemini in one of its publications presents the example of the Monzo bank, operating in the United Kingdom, which “has over half a million customers, was created from scratch on the cloud (…) and its operations are supported by only five employees.”
Of course, the issue of benefits that a company can generate is very individual and depends on the level of technological advancement and flexibility of the organization in terms of introducing changes.
How does Cloudity support companies in the digitization process?
First of all, we want to be sure that future solutions will maximize the business effect and achieve the goals that the client has set for himself. Therefore, in the first step, we get to know the client’s business model in order to best understand his needs and the challenges he faces on a daily basis.
In the second step, we literally play the role of our client’s employees, and, using the created solution prototype, we simulate the performance of everyday activities using modern tools. When the final vision is refined, we design and implement the target solution. After the implementation is complete, we support the client in the change management process in the organization to make sure that the employees use the full potential of the implemented solutions.
What companies implement your solutions?
At Cloudity, we have carried out over 480 implementations for clients from 26 countries. We support both companies that are looking for a way to increase the scale of their business, as well as those that want to improve the current operating model. The solution has no limits to the scale or industry in which the company operates.
For example – we have completed a project to optimize operations for a Polish carrier with a fleet of over 300 vehicles operating in 28 countries. Another example would be an international anti-virus software company where we provided a solution to support the quoting process.
What is meant by “cloud technology”?
Cloud solutions, in addition to such issues as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, or Blockchain, are technologies that make up the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Users are provided with IT solutions, ie. CRM, campaign engines, client portals, or web-based business applications, without the need to install expensive solutions that require an infrastructure base. The solutions can be used in virtually all areas of the company’s activity – sales, marketing, and operations.
Why should companies be interested in cloud technologies?
First of all, these solutions enable the organization to continuously develop its activities, while minimizing the effort associated with the implementation of business concepts. Taking into account the pace of market changes, quick and effective implementations (time-to-market) are the basis for building a competitive advantage. The challenge is to keep up with the change, while effectively maintaining the continuity of activities.
Another argument is the reduction of IT infrastructure costs. Thanks to digitization, the company does not have to develop and maintain an expensive infrastructure supporting an increasing number of systems, applications, and interfaces. In return, settlement takes place in a licensing model that can be flexibly shaped according to current needs.
Should only IT specialists be interested in cloud technology?
The main idea behind the delivered solution is to support business development. Therefore, it is the business units that are the greatest beneficiaries of such implementations.
From the point of view of people managing the IT area, apart from the aspect of not having to develop infrastructure, the organization gets a flexible tool for managing business processes. Due to the fact that system configuration takes place on the side of the administrator who understands the business, changes are introduced quickly and in accordance with the business needs.
We mentioned that digitization is not only about cloud technology. What technologies does Cloudity implement?
At Cloudity, we support a comprehensive digitization process that includes modern technologies such as cloud solutions, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, Business Intelligence, and Data Science. Our services involve combining individual technologies to provide the client with the best possible solution.
If the company is considering implementing new technologies…
… then I encourage you to contact Cloudity. During the meeting, we will present examples of implemented solutions and together we will estimate which areas in a given company have the greatest potential for digitization.
In addition, I invite you to events organized by Cloudity – discussion panels or conferences, during which we focus on challenges specific to individual industries and sectors. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with our offer!
